The Tianfu New Area is a state-level new area in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It was officially incorporated as a district in December 2011. It is designated as an important national development strategy node for both the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Its primary mandate is to serve as a new growth pole and an inland open economic highland in West China.
Chengdu Tianfu New Area is a 1,578 km² development in western China built on the “Park City” concept, blending urban and natural environments. It features three core zones: a Central Business District, a Science City for tech innovation, and a Digital Cultural City. Supported by key infrastructure like Tianfu International Airport, it focuses on advanced sectors including AI, aerospace, and biomedicine, attracting global investment as a model of sustainable urban development.
