The Line is a revolutionary project that represents an innovative solution to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly city, fully integrated with technological advancements and nature. The main feature of this city is its unique infrastructure and it is a breakthrough project that demonstrates Saudia Arabia’s ambition to create a unique and innovative city of the future.
A cognitive city stretching across 170 km, from the epic mountains of Neom across the dessert valleys to the beautiful Red Sea. A mirrored architectural masterpiece towering 500 meters above sea level, but only 200 meters wide to save land. It redefines the concept of urban development and planned to accommodate 9 million residents and will be built on a footprint of just 34 square km, the city integrates cutting-edge technologies like AI and autonomous transport powered entirely by renewable energy. It was launched in 2021, with a goal to complete 5km segment by 2030 with full completion targeted for 2045.

It is designed for zero carbon emissions, no roads, cars or emissions, it will run on 100% renewable energy. The linear design minimizes land use disruption and promotes biodiversity conservation, significantly reducing ecological impact.

Smart City
Modern technology plays a key role in The Line’s development. Artificial intelligence, autonomous transportation system, smart homes and digital innovation is the goal, it will be an incubator for start ups. It features a ultra- high-speed rail with an end-to-end transit of 20 minutes.

It clusters residential, commercial, and recreational facilities within short distances to foster social interaction and inclusivity, the design eliminates traffic congestion and pollution, providing clean air, natural scenery and a safe environment for all inhabitants.
