Capital Smart City is a pioneering and flagship real estate development in Pakistan, envisioned as the country’s first-ever smart city. Located near the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad. Spanning over 160,000 Kanals (over 20,000 acres), it is strategically positioned near the Islamabad International Airport and the new CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) route. Developed by Future Development Holdings (Pvt) Ltd in collaboration with international partners from the UAE and China, it is a legally approved housing scheme by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

Core principle of Capital Smart City is sustainability, as the master plan emphasizes eco-friendly design, smart water management systems and efficient waste disposal and recycling systems to minimize environmental impact and integration with major transport corridors to reduce carbon footprints. Over 30% of the city’s land is dedicated to green belts, parks, and natural landscapes, including the development around Crystal Lake and the Hills Vista.

Capital Smart City Islamabad is a technologically advanced urban development incorporating smart infrastructure such as automated traffic control, intelligent security surveillance with facial and object recognition. Infrastructure includes underground wiring for electricity, gas, and water, eliminating unsightly overhead cables and ensuring uninterrupted 24/7 utility supply (a load-shedding-free environment). It includes Automated Traffic Control, a dedicated BRT System, and the use of electric bikes and vehicles for efficient, low-carbon mobility.

The city is human-centric, focusing on creating a liveable environment with diverse neighbourhoods, residential and commercial zones, and community facilities that promote wellbeing, security, and inclusivity. Major amenities are provided through dedicated districts for healthcare, education (NDU, GIKI), and sports (PGA Golf Course), complemented by leisure options like theme parks and the Crystal Lake complex.
