BSD City (Bumi Serpong Damai) is a premier large-scale, integrated planned township in the Greater Jakarta area, widely recognized as one of Indonesia’s most ambitious and successful urban planning schemes. It stands out as one of Indonesia’s largest and earliest master-planned new cities, creating a model for mixed-use, large-scale development with a slogan of “Big city, big opportunity”.

Located in Tangerang Selatan (Greater Jakarta Area), Banten. Developed primarily by Sinar Mas Land through its subsidiary PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, this “city within a city” spans a total area of 6,000 hectares and is home to a population of approximately 500,000 people. Originally conceived in the 1980s on a former rubber plantation, BSD City has transformed into a self-sustaining community that seamlessly blends residential, commercial, business, and recreational facilities, embodying its motto of “Live, Work, and Play”

BSD City is being developed as Indonesia’s leading smart digital township, integrating technology into urban services and mobility. Through the “Digital Hub,” Sinar Mas Land partners with global tech companies to create an ecosystem for innovation, startups, and digital education. Smart traffic systems, cashless payments, and high-speed fiber-optic internet enhance urban efficiency and connectivity across residential and commercial zones.
