New7Wonders, the global official authority for voting for Wonders, behind the world's most popular public votes on natural and man-made marvels, today announced the soft launch of its newest worldwide voting campaign: 7 Wonders of Future Cities. This initiative will identify and celebrate the most forward-thinking, sustainable, and technologically empowered urban developments shaping the 21st century and beyond.
The 7 Wonders of Future Cities initiative will highlight cities and developments from around the world that embody innovation in design, technology, and environmental stewardship - places that balance human aspiration and growing with nature together.
"With 7 Wonders of Future Cities, we're turning our collective gaze towards the next chapter of civilization. These are cities that not only redefine how we live, but also how we coexist - with nature, technology, and one another." Bernard Weber, President and Founder of New7Wonders
Jean-Paul de la Fuente, Director of New7Wonders and Chairman of the 7 Wonders of Future Cities campaign, says "This is not just about buildings and infrastructure, it is about values - the values that will define the way we create our shared future." He adds, "These wonders of tomorrow aren't just being built - they are being imagined collectively, by citizens who care about the legacy they leave behind."
In keeping with the New7Wonders proven methodology, the initiative will invite global participation through an open nomination and voting process, culminating in the selection of seven cities that represent the future of urban life for all. The campaign will start on 31 October 2025, World Cities Day, and for the next year proposals and applications from participant cities and developments will be accepted, followed on 31 October 2026 by the start of the voting phases to run until the official declaration of the 7 Wonders of Future Cities on 31 October 2027. The campaign is being coordinated by the worldwide licensing and commercial arm of New7Wonders, Dubai-based Global Platform Limited.
